Inspired by the Summer Thunder Sprint driven by Chris Schmelzle as seen during the season-opening event at State Fair Raceway in Yakima kicking off the 2015 season. I tried to capture the feel of the No. 36 throwing the dirt as it powered sideways through the turn.
Just a few of the special points of interest include the complex suspension laboring through the turn and the metalwork on the wings. Look closely at the slideshow below and you’ll see even more to appreciate.
