Inspired by the gorgeous DC-3 in Pan American livery. Our family has strong roots with Pan American Airlines, so this aircraft has always been a favorite of mine to photograph at Northwest events while it was based at Paine Field, including during final preparations before departure to France for the 75th anniversary of the D-Day invasion.
Just a few of the special points of interest include subtle rivet work, in-flight propellor blur, fabric tail, and of course the vintage PAA markings. Look closely at the slideshow below and you’ll see even more to appreciate.
This beautiful high-quality giclee print is mounted in a custom 10×25 matte black metal frame protected behind non-glare acrylic and acid-free foam board backing .
