Inspired by a friend’s grandfather who flew Kingfishers during WWII. This is based on a photo I took at the Smithsonian’s Udvar-Hazy facility during a 447th BG reunion in Washington DC.
Just a few of the special points of interest include the cockpit and large greenhouse interior, detailed radial engine, complex floats and their associated structure and supports. Look closely at the slideshow below and you’ll see even more to appreciate.
This beautiful high-quality giclee print is mounted in a custom 12×18 matte black metal frame protected behind non-glare acrylic and acid-free foam board backing .
