Inspired by the PT-17 Kaydet-Stearman that was taxiing in while I was at the CAF museum in Mesa, Ariz. I got to help put the plane in the hangar, right in the shadow of the B-17 Sentimental Journey. An incredible memory that deserved an all-out effort.
Just a few of the special points of interest include the amazing exposed radial engine, the difference in textures from the metal panels up front to the stretched canvas fuselage, the glossy wings, various metals and all the rigging.
